There might be tears at this year’s Winter Concert. That’s because our dear Linda Neel, a powerful force at PAA for 31 years, is presenting her last Christmas concert before she retires next spring.
Miss Neel’s many awards include the Adventist Education Zapara Award for Excellence in Teaching, Oregon Music Educators Association Certificate of Merit, as well as nine Band State Championships, and numerous top three Choir placements at State Choir Competitions.
Besides heading our successful music department, over the years, Miss Neel has also taught P.E. & Health, Careers, and Culture Class, coached Varsity Volleyball for 18 years and Basketball for ten. She’s led mission trips and memorable music tours. AND she holds a First Place World Championship for Women’s Senior Racquetball!
But all of these facts are shadowed by what matters most. The best legacy she will leave is her love and loyalty to the PAA family. She has touched thousands of hearts over her long career, showing us all what it means to be Christ-centered and character-driven. Join us in celebrating her talented students and to thank her for all she’s done for our kids.
Linda’s last Winter Concert is at Sunnyside Church on December 12 at 7pm.
