A Once in a Lifetime High School Experience

Dr. Nakamura and many other medical professionals frequent our campus as guest teachers.

At Portland Adventist Academy, we’re blessed to have so many ambitious students considering careers in healthcare. We’re also incredibly lucky to have an exceptional neighbor in Adventist Health!

Last spring, a group of PAA students took part in Adventist Health’s first Student Healthcare Leaders program.  And we’re very excited to share the invitation to join the upcoming session!

This 10-week, after-school program offers students meaningful learning experiences in the “laboratory” of a real hospital in action.

From nurses, physical therapists, doctors, nutritionists, security workers, and chaplains, students get a front row seat to witness hospital staff engage in healthcare as a healing ministry.

Students experience hands-on medical work and real-life learning as they build relationships with leading medical professionals enlightening a deeper understanding of what it means to be called to health ministry.

We hope you’ll apply today! What you should know . . .
