Last Friday’s lunch turned into a stage as PAA drama students entertained their peers and staff with a series of creative and hilarious skits centered on the theme, “It’s not you, it’s me.” Freshmen through seniors took part in the performance, showcasing their acting skills, comedic timing, and storytelling talents in front of a lively audience.
Many of the skits were student written and explored a wide range of breakup scenarios. With Valentine’s Day approaching, the performances playfully leaned into the theme with plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor. One standout student-written skit thoughtfully explored the impact of our internal voices on relationships and how those voices can sometimes be damaging, all while keeping the audience laughing along with the performers.
Students fully embraced the opportunity to share their creativity, confidence, and courage on stage. The room was filled with laughter and applause as performers connected with their audience and brought their stories to life. It was a wonderful reminder of how students use the arts to express ideas, build confidence, and bring joy to the entire PAA community.
