Senior Retreat 2026: Concerned, Connected, and Ready to Lead

Before the first bell rang, before the hallways filled back up, the senior class was already doing the work.

The weekend before school began, PAA seniors headed out together for Senior Retreat, an intentional and beloved part of the PAA experience. Not a vacation. Not just a fun trip. A purposeful gathering designed to shape who this class will be and how they will lead.

At PAA, each class is anchored to a core value that grows with them. Freshmen explore curiosity. Sophomores build courage. Juniors develop leadership. And integrity runs through everything, for every class, every year. For seniors, the defining value is concern. Concern for each other. Concern for the world around them. Concern for the legacy they are about to leave behind.

The weekend looked like a lot of fun on the outside, and it absolutely was. Camping, hiking, cold creek water, worship, and some genuinely adrenaline-pumping white-water rafting. But underneath all of it, something more significant was happening. Seniors sat with the big questions. What has PAA meant to me? What moments shaped me? What kind of culture do I want to leave behind? What does it look like to lead this school well in my final year?

Mr. Hughes, Mr. Smith, and Pastor Fernando guided them through worships centered on concern, and by the end of the weekend this class had not just bonded. They had made a plan. A united, intentional, Christ-centered plan for the year ahead.

That is not an accident. That is PAA doing what PAA does, building young people of character from the inside out, one retreat, one value, one conversation at a time.

Watch out, PAA. The Class of 2027 is ready.
