Freshman Adventure 2026: Curiosity Explored

The Class of 2030 has officially begun their PAA journey, and what a way to start.

Last week, our freshmen headed out for Freshman Adventure, the first of PAA's four grade-level leadership trips and one of the most important first steps a new class takes together. The focus was curiosity, the freshman core value, and an invitation to explore, ask questions, and lean into things that are new and maybe a little uncomfortable.

For these students, almost everything about this year has been new. New school. New faces. New challenges. And that is exactly the point. Curiosity is not just about academics. It is a posture, a willingness to show up open-handed and ready to discover something you did not know before, about the world, about your classmates, and about yourself.

Through teamwork challenges, problem solving, and a lively scavenger hunt, students laughed their way into friendships and figured out pretty quickly that the people around them are worth knowing. Trust was built. Connections were made. A class began to become a community.

Freshman Adventure sets the tone for everything ahead, and this class set it beautifully. They showed up curious, and they leave a little braver, a little more connected, and a lot more ready for what PAA has in store for them.
