Fall Week of Worship 2026: The Author Is Still Writing

This past week, PAA spent time together in worship, and God met us right where we were.
Pastor Jason Calvert from the Oregon Conference Office took us deeper into Ephesians 3:19, our theme verse for the year, reminding us that God’s love is greater than we can fully comprehend. His series of talks, entitled “The Scene is Not the Story” was a great reminder that even when we take the wrong road or experience a moment when God seems distant, we know that in the grand narrative, Jesus is constant, outside of time, and greater than any challenge that may temporarily set us back.
The promise that Jesus shows up and meets us where we’re at is an encouraging reminder that past failures do not define our future. God is not finished writing your story. The very things that keep you up at night, God is already working on in ways you may not see yet. Your current chapter is not the end. Keep trusting the Author. His love never lets go.
Each day began with student praise bands leading us in singing, and each chapel ended with student-led life groups, where classmates talked honestly about what they heard and how it applies to real life. Watching students lead, listen, and support one another was a gift all week long.
We wrapped up with Fun Fall Fusion Vespers on Friday night at Sunnyside Church with Pastor Kevin Wilson. Good food, games, worship, and time together made it the perfect way to close out the week.
Thank you to Pastor Jason, to our student musicians and life group leaders, to Pastor Kevin and Sunnyside Church, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it happen. What a joy to come together, make memories, and celebrate this community.
Look for the ways Jesus shows up. He is already there. 💙
