Community: A Brand New Day

On a September Friday evening, students gathered for the first Community of the school year, and it was a beautiful way to close out the week.

Community is PAA's Friday night worship, planned and led by students in Campus Ministries. From the music to the games to the conversations, our students make it happen, and they do it with creativity, heart, and genuine love for their peers.

This first gathering of the year centered on Isaiah 43:19 and the theme of A Brand New Day. What a perfect place to begin. A new school year is exactly that, a fresh start, a new thing God is doing, an open page. Students leaned into that together, sharing honestly about what God has been doing in their lives so far this year, what they want to grow in, and the new habits they hope to build to draw closer to Jesus.

Those are not small conversations. That is the kind of openness and vulnerability that takes courage, and this community rose to it beautifully.

Woven throughout the evening was great music, fun games, and of course, yummy food. Because at PAA, worship and community and a good meal go hand in hand.

This is who we are on Friday nights. This is what our students build for each other, again and again.

What a Brand New Day indeed.
