We are incredibly proud of this year’s student course evaluation results, which reflect the strength of our school’s culture, community, and commitment to meaningful learning. Each student at Portland Adventist Academy completes a survey for every class they take, providing comprehensive and thoughtful feedback across all courses. The detailed results are attached. Across all measured areas, average scores ranged from 8.2 to 9.3, indicating consistently high levels of student satisfaction and engagement.
Students reported strong understanding of grading policies and class expectations, as well as confidence in their teachers’ organization, preparedness, and clarity of instruction. They feel encouraged to ask questions and consistently note that teachers are available and supportive both during and outside of class. Feedback also highlights that classes are engaging and interesting, with instruction that helps students clearly understand the material.
Students affirm that their work is graded in a timely manner with meaningful feedback, and that teachers effectively manage classroom environments to support learning. They also recognize that their classes challenge them to think deeply, solve problems, and communicate ideas, while maintaining an appropriate and balanced workload.
Importantly, students feel cared for and supported as individuals. They see clear connections between their learning and faith, noting that teachers model and share the importance of their relationship with God in authentic and impactful ways.
Overall, these results reflect a school community where students feel known, supported, challenged, and inspired. We are deeply grateful for our dedicated teachers and the positive, Christ-centered learning environment they create each day.
